![]() Ideally column J, 'UID', would always stay the same so I could refer to it in the future (column H), and mark it as a reimbursement. Does anyone have any ideas!?!?Įdit: Created a template file for what I'm trying to do here. In this case, the DNS server will link the quad number - analogous to a phone number - for, and your computer uses the answer it receives to. I have tried sumproduct() too, and nothing seems to get it quite right. I have tried using rank() and countifs() to break ties. I am having an issue getting those final two digits! I really don't care how I get the numbers, as long as they don't change when I sort/filter/etc. So at first I tried just giving every record a unique key, but then decided to make a serial number with the following format: "ddmmyy-#", where the first 6 digits are the date of the transaction and final two digits are the unique transaction numbers. I am creating a finance tracking sheet for myself and would like to create a static serial number to be able to refer to when I get reimbursements (I upload all my transactions once a week, so things won't really change historically after that). ![]()
